Rules Pack

Background information on the rules pack, as well as previous versions.

The ETC-H Rules Pack is the guiding document for each edition, containing administrative information about deadlines and costs, as well as team force composition and list building restrictions.

You can view the (current) 2026 Edition rulespack here.

Previous Editions

Background

Starting with the 2026 edition, the rulespack comprises two main sections: The primary rulespack which is year-specific, and the appendixes, which are intended to be carried over year-to-year.

Of course, the latter will occasionally be adjusted, expanded, and altered over time, but it consists of more general rules which, in principle, can be (and ideally are) used by other tournaments within the competitive Flames of War community.

The ETC-H organization encourages TO’s to utilize these appendices, as doing so will help ensure our broad, international community are all playing the same game, and reduce the chance of unpleasant surprises during list checking, or worse, during gameplay.

For more information on the creation of the rulespack, please see The Rules Pack Committee.

Year-Specific Sections

  1. Administration (2026): This section contains administrative information such as dates of competition, deadlines for list submission, ticket price per team, etc.

  2. Teams & Lists (2026): This section contains info such as this year’s era, points limit, restrictions on number of nations, formations, etc. within a team, and any additional rules which apply only to this particular edition of ETC-H.

Appendix Sections

Each appendix is intended to carry over year-to-year to reduce the need to rehash existing decisions on an annual basis. That being said, they are of course open to alteration at the chairmen/rulespack committee’s discretion. When changed, a link to the Captains Vote poll results should be included, if relevant.
